”C” had a great time. Thanks for taking her - she is aware that other kids have it worse off than she by participating - important for a 13 year old to understand that and not feel so "unfortunate"......Thanks for providing a ministry teenagers can participate in and learn from......

I came to the Wings Party today because:

1. I’m a guest and I came because we always come to the Wings Parties. They make us happy.

2. My children need God.

3. I like coming.

4. I like coming to a church. It is fun.

5. A very good friend of mine invited me.

6. I wanted to help and be of God’s service.

7. Because my Grandma wanted me to.

8. I’m from Power House and I’m raising grandchildren for my daughter in prison.

9. I want to meet families of inmates and encourage them to establish ties to a church family that will provide a support for the incarcerated member.

10. For school supplies.

11. I wanted to help the community. It was a good service project.

12. I wanted to have fun and eat.

13. I always have a fun time.

14. The Christian fellowship.

15. It was an invitation to church.

16. Power House sponsored and I am a member. I have three of my family members in prison.

17. The school supplies.

18. My grandson that I take care of while my son is in prison.

19. It is my calling. (Church volunteer)

22. I find it a valuable and enjoyable experience. (17 year-old volunteer.)

The highlights of the party for me were:

25. Pizza and meeting all the people.

26. What the party is doing for all our families and the persons that are in prison and everything they do to help us.

27. Pastor Byron and the kids – they are great! (Youth volunteer.)

28. Praises and Word of God.

29. Having my kids do activities and meet new people.

30. Watching all the youth and adults from churches and denominations from all over Albuquerque unite together to share God’s love and to reach out and spread their “wings of love” to those that are so often forgotten.

31. The music and the wonderful sermon.

32. Hanging out with my brothers and sisters.

33. To know that there are people that really care about the families of those in jail. That’s very nice. God bless you all!

38. Talking with the little kids and realizing they’re dealing with things I didn’t know at their age.

47. I liked eating and watching the little kids sing and dance.

48. Pizza, arts & crafts, and I especially liked making the masks.

I appreciate the Guideposts magazines and books and the school supplies because:

52. They’re fun to read.

53. My mom couldn’t get me any this year. Now I have some. Thank you!

54. I don’t always carry my bible and then I might need it!

55. They always give information needed.

56. Some people don’t have magazines or school supplies.

57. The school supplies were an answer to prayer. I didn’t have any money to buy my children school supplies and now they are so happy to have their special boxes with all the needed supplies inside. Thank you!

58. It will be the first time for me to read one of these magazines.

59. I felt so sad that I didn’t even have money to buy school supplies for my kids. Then I came to this fun party and not only did we experience God’s love but now my kids have all their school supplies too. My tears are tears of happiness!
